Obituary of Rebecca Stewart

Rebecca "Becky" Stewart, died suddenly on Sunday, December 5, 2021 at Lexington Hospital in West Columbia, SC. She was born August 2, 1953 in Hazlehurst, Georgia to parents John and Juanita Riner Tapley.

Becky was known for how much she loved all of her family. She would always give anything she had to those she loved. There were many things that kept Becky busy, especially making quilts for her family. Her favorite times were spent with her children, grandchildren, and her great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband Edward James Stewart, and four siblings Sammy Tapley, Johnnie Findley, Georgie Nelle (Genelle) Ray, and Troy Tapley. Survived by her siblings Frances Floyd, Atha Richert, Kenneth Tapley, Tony Tapley, and Aubrey Tapley; her five children Diane Stewart, Lucretia McLendon, Gary Stewart, Charles Stewart, Jeffrey Stewart, 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service of remembrance will be held at a later date at her family farm.
